"Strong" Solar storms (yeah, it seems nice auroras and behavior shifts are not the only "side effects") => spacequakes -> (possible) earthquakes -> tsunamis => all the stuff we have already heard about.
Biiig earthquakes:
Earth's axis shifting => climate changes (+ insignificantly shorter days)
=> mass media announcing, once again, the end of the world
PS: This is one of the reasons why Tokyo is the [safest] place to be when something like that happens. (Paraphrasing my tired, scared friend :P):
